Ah, yeah. The R18A1 being used as the base engine in the current lineup of Civics, replacement for the D-series motors. The Si uses a K-series motor, the hybrid an L-series I think.

It's nice that they are working twards a more efficent straight gasoline engine, insted of just pushing the "you need a hybrid to get good mileage" idea, and it's nice that they went to a timing chain, insted of the cog belt, even tho I like the light weight of the cog belt, the chain is suposed to last alot longer.
now if you could only get an engine like that in 1.3L around here. |

Thats cool, I didn't know anything about the new engines. I guess I need an L-series motor now. :)
