Ah, yeah. The R18A1 being used as the base engine in the current lineup of Civics, replacement for the D-series motors. The Si uses a K-series motor, the hybrid an L-series I think.

It's nice that they are working twards a more efficent straight gasoline engine, insted of just pushing the "you need a hybrid to get good mileage" idea, and it's nice that they went to a timing chain, insted of the cog belt, even tho I like the light weight of the cog belt, the chain is suposed to last alot longer.
now if you could only get an engine like that in 1.3L around here.

Thats cool, I didn't know anything about the new engines. I guess I need an L-series motor now.
