Car is running great. 91 octane this new tank and the last. Will probably use 91 from now on even though I see no difference between 91 and 85. I am using the Gumout Regane which has PEA. I installed a sump heater on the outside of the sump plate but see no increase in mpg's or oil temps when cold. That said, it never gets lower than about 35 in the garage. Still, had to experiment!

Car is running great. Changed oil this week at 105,000 miles. Molygen 5w-50 with 1 btl ea. of Cera Tec and Camgard. Oil and filter looked good. Sent sample to Blackstone. I'm on 91 octane now and using Gumout fuel additives with the PEA. Plan is to stick with this every tank. Can't tell any difference with the higher octane, but will stick with it anyway.

Car is running good. We seem to be on winter fuel now as mpg's are lacking. Ordered an updated module for HomeLink and will install the next time I R&R the front bumper cover. An update for the next owner, not for me. It works with garage doors with the roaming codes. New dog Joey is good in the car, just not STAYING in the car.

Car is running great. More town driving this tank so poorer mpg. Took the car in for the oil level sender diagnosis and it seems the sender is bad, as I'd expected. I have a plan to try to replace it, but a project for another day.

Car is running great. Yesterday spent the day trying to install a dipstick...no bueno! Will try again if I ever pull the engine. The oil level sender is located right behind the AC compressor but not sure if there is room above it to extract/install. Found a slightly frayed wire on the knock sensor on the left bank. Put some liquid tape on it and will fix properly if the engine is ever out. Dropped the sump and only 7 qts. came out, so I used 1 qt. in 3k miles. Put 8 qts. back in and will change oil again at 105k (2k to go). No issues after the work.

Installed a new crank sensor yesterday at 103k. The bolt is a T30. The OE one works fine and will keep it as a spare. Installed a 2nd engine to frame ground strap too, just as a failsafe. Recommended by PCA video w/ Jake Raby. Car is running great!

Stopped by dealer today to get the scoop on #qts. The car dry takes 10.5 qts. For an oil and filter change it takes 8.75 qts. So, ~ 1.75 qts. stays with the engine at oil changes. Since I'd put 5 qts. in last week, I added 3 more today which gives me 8 qts. for the change. Spoke with Josh and he thinks the oil level sender could be off, or it could be a connection or the dash gauge. More diagnostics needed to assess for sure. At this point, I think I'll just live with it not working since I do all my own oil changes and will just always put in 8 qts. and also measure what comes out to be sure it is not using oil.

Car is running good! Changed the oil and pan this week at 100k. Put in 5 qts. of the 5w-50 Molygen and ASL. 5 qts. made no difference in the oil level on the dash. Need to R&R the oil level sender but can't figure out how to do this. All went well, but did it twice to remove the magnet I'd epoxied into the pan. Had 2nd thoughts about this in the pan. Used the 90 min. The Right Stuff to seal the pan and so far so good. Scrapped the right front lip so will be repainting that. In the meantime, I stuck a rubber bumper down there on both sides. Washed the car today. Lots of grasshoppers this year, very glad I have the screens over the radiators!

Car is running well. No issues! I tested the AOS with the mamometer and got a reading of 5.33. 4-6 is ideal so it seems good. Over 6 means the vac is high and the AOS is likely malfunctioning, while below 4 means a vac leak somewhere. So, all looks good!

Car is running good. This tank is 85 oct. No difference that I can perceive. Got the Blackstone report back and chromium is showing at 1 compared to 0 previously. Lead is still down at 2. Iron is up to 16 compared to 4-7 previously. Need to research Iron more on this engine.

Car is running good. This tank was 91. The new fill is 85. I can't tell or hear the difference at all. I put the 2nd bolt in on the Y cable. The new 17" rims and tires are correctly balanced now and seem right on. I ordered a new manometer so I can test the AOS. No symptoms of it having issues but I am curious to see if it is in spec. (4-6" /h2o). Car is dirty and in need of a good wash. Otherwise, no issues. Changed the oil at 96k (6k interval). Waiting on the Blackstone report.

Car is running good! Drop in mpg's because we had to re-balance the new rims. Spencer got it right and the car now drives smooth at 70-90. Anyway, a fair bit of high speeds thus the mpg's. Put the 2nd batt. cable bolt in so all done there. The Porsche shouldn't need much for a while as all is well. Oil change coming up in about 180 miles at 196,000 - 6k interval this time.

Car is running good. Got the new front 7.5" rims and mounted them last Fri. The weights fell off one wheel so had to go back today for a balance. Not sure I like the balance but it seems to change a lot with which road I'm on. I'll watch it for a while and see if it is normal or not.

Car is running good. Ordered new front rims in the 7.5 / 17 with 52mm offset. Decided to do the next oil change at 6k instead of 5k to see how that goes. Didn't drive the car for a week because of cold and snow. Nice to have it back on the road. This tank is also the 91 octane.

Friday mounted up the new Nitto Motivo's on the 17" Fuchs. The fronts bottomed out on the brake calipers so had to ad the 10mm spacers. Had a vibration at 70-80mph so today took the car in for a re-balance. Success! I have a email in to Mr.Fiat re. the front wheels but have not heard back yet. I think they are for a 964/993, not the 996/997. My mistake and I doubt they will help me. Can't say I'd blame them! I do like the tires and it does seem more comfortable and less jarring over rough roads. The trouble with the 10mm spacers is that now the tires stick out 10mm beyond the fenders. Still, the set-up is good.
