at 38,288 miles I got TPMS sensor installed in the steel wheels/winter tires. I had been driving the last 3 of 5 winters without TPMS sensors since the 2018 Mazda 3 had an indirect TPMS system not using sensors. Now I can monitor tire air pressure while I drive just as with the OEM alloy wheels.

At 38,027 miles on the odometer I put the steel wheels and Blizzak tires on for the Michigan winter. The all-season tires had been on the car since March for 5,500 miles. All four winter tires have 7/32 inches of tread after 5 consecutive winters since 2018 on my 2018 Mazda 3 and current 2021 Mazda 3. I will be looking for new winter tires December 2025.

Car gas tank below "empty". Put 6 gallons of Meijer 87 octane gas from gas can into car tank. Filled 6-gallon gas can with Meijer 93 octane gas at 4.189 a gallon. Took another 6.429 gallons to fill car tank.

Put 6 gallons of Meijer 93 octane from gas can into the tank. Put 6 gallons of Meijer 87 octane into that gas can. Put another 1 gallon of the same into the 1 gallon can for the lawn mower. filled car tank. 8.441 gallons total. 7.441 gallons into the car's tank.

Meijer 93 octane. Took my car in for service. Forward facing camera failure. Out of warranty cost me $1,400.60. I had 16% gas in the tank before service. That is 1.9 gallons remaining. Tank went to empty, 0 miles remaining while I drove home.

For several weeks the forward sensing camera has continually malfunctioned. 4 months out of warranty it cost me $1,400.60 to have the dealership replace it. Now speed limit / stop sign recognition, lane departure warning/lane keep, and radar cruise control are working again. 40 months and 32,667 miles.
