After the previous fill up, left to head home on Hwy 35 and about 25 miles later the engine started sounding weird, pinging and thunking. After another few miles it made another weird sound and immediately tripped the CEL and went into Limp Home Mode. It wouldn't go over 1500 RPMs or 20mph going up a hill. Thankfully the rest of the trip was downhill so we coasted down most of Mt. Hood at a mostly normal speed. Towed to Weston Kia, had engine rebuilt, then drive it home. This was the first fill up with the rebuilt engine.
