Got the truck running with a new Optima Yellowtop battery (in spite of a bad alternator); did an engine oil change after 25 minutes of idling with Liqui Moly engine flush in the system. Full synthetic Mobil One High Mileage 5W20 and STP filter (used because of the sale at Autozone). Significantly old fuel (2.5 to 3 years) in the tank was not easily siphoned, so I added 4 gallons of premium 93 octane and a lot of SeaFoam to help burn the system as clean as possible. This was initial maintenance work done before getting the truck to Don's for more intensive inspection and work.
