Owners try to unload Guzzlers

That's a good one...had to look it up. Very appropriate!

Dang, fill the tank of his pickup three times in a week! Where is he driving that he's burning that much gas and can't claim it as a business expense or get paid for mileage? Luckily, I can get away with filling Green once a week.
I was recently given a rusty '93 Eagle Summit Wagon (Mits Expo LRV) that needs the trans rebuilt. My bro and I are going to attempt the rebuild it ourselves in his garage and I may use it as my commute to work car after we're done. Been eying '96-'99 Ford Escort Wagons on CL lately too though. |
A lot of these used SUVs will end up in Venezuela where gas still costs 12 cent per gallon.

I was noticing the used car lots around here have the overwhelming majority of their lots filled with SUVs and trucks. Maybe it's time to talk price on a good suburban down to almost nothing.

At the end of the article:
"I don't need this much space," McHugh said of his SUV. "It just seems ridiculous." FINALLY, people are starting to realize what has been an obvious truth for such a long time. |

its a step in the right direction. i hate empty and big suv's and pickups on the road, and the person in it is in a suit going to his office job. it just endangers the smaller cars around them, making smaller cars add safety features and weight
you'll be amazed at how much crap i hauled in my coupe, since the back seats folds down. if its too big, i just put it on the roof and strap it down (did it with beds, sofa's, fridge, table, even 500 pounds of rice for a restaurant) |
