semi-finished nose

I've gotten the nose add-on about like I want it for now, so I can try a few things elsewhere on the Cavalier.https://www.gassavers.org/garage_imag...o0wbmb6m7n.jpghttps://www.gassavers.org/garage_imag...m0hmsaa9wu.jpg

Can you do a fillup, so we can see the effects, on a tank? Looks interesting.

flippers and a tail maybe? ;) looks like a dolphin! but i belive they have a superb Cd so that's a compliment.
that thing is gonna raise a few eyebrows though.
i admire you're dedication. you can't make progress unless you're willing to think outside the box. i'm interested to see how much of a difference this will make in FE and handling!

I log my tanks into the garage regularly, but this nose has been growing little by little the whole time, so it would be hard to say what effects it has. I did add a lot more during this tank I'm on now and MPG's are getting better. Could just be Spring coming.I do get lots of looks, points and laughs but that's okay.

Can't say I'd do it exactly the same to one of my vehicles, but looks like you put some thought and work into it. Hope it helps you out.

I just went to pay my cell phone bill, starting cold,on 45mph speed limits, several lights and afternoon 5PM traffic. I still got 33.8 mpg for the trip. Not bad for all the stop lights, as I think I had to stop at every one of them. I've read here that aero makes no difference under 45mph, but I have my doubts about that.

On a standard it might make more difference, autos probably lose more in the transmission than to aero, so it's like trying to stop losing water from a bucket with a small hole, by covering the top with saran wrap to stop evaporation...

perhaps aero will play some role in acceleration wich is an enery robbing part of driveing....

if you where to attach a flat plate the size of a fontview of a car to a bike and try to go as fast as you can, and than try to do the same with something less flat and more aerodynamic i'm sure the difference would seem huge.

just because we don't feel the difference in a car, and perhaps can't even be measured doens't mean it isn't there :)

My auto is special; it has NEUTRAL. btw: the bucket would leak less if the saran wrap keeps the air from displacing the water leaking out.

Looks like it is in the same vain as a F1...they have protruding noses (yes some is for feet...but not all) and then adjustable wings for aero tuning. Come on and fill 'er up!
