Injector kill automaticly for MT
I was reading about engine off coasting, and engine off idling. The problem is remembering to do it all the time, and accedently locking the steering wheel while going down the road. What if, with "fuel pump" relays, you have it kill injectors while the BRAKE is PRESSED, but the CLUTCH is NOT? If it is in nuetral, you would be engine-off coasting. Then when the clutch is pressed (to put it back in gear) have another relay enguage the starter, and when there is engine vacuum (or something else that says the engine is firing), it disenguages the starter, because the engine is running, just in time to accelerate again.
Just an idea I had. Could also do an ignition kill at the same time, to save some power draw. |

Turns out that an actual kill switch in an easily to use location has proven quite useful, in the cold my throttle cable FROZE OPEN and my engine started racing IN TRAFFIC. No problem, I just pulsed the kill switch with my finger to approximate something less than full throttle where needed till i got to the gas station and could get under the hood and work the throttle loose. (spring loaded closed isn't ALWAYS fail safe) No worries about locking the steering column and it just becomes a natural part of your driving if it is located conveniently. here's the details of my kill switch: https://www.gassavers.org/showpost.ph...1&postcount=30 https://www.gassavers.org/showpost.ph...0&postcount=34 |

I need to add a momentary contact switch to my injector kill system. Right now, I have a paddle switch. The problem is that you can forget to switch it back on. Not that would know...:o :D
