Goodbye Fuelly - Tired of the lack of support
It was nice while it lasted.
* 4 different motorcycles * Almost 190,000 miles tracked * Been using the site for 13 years But it seems that the owner of Fuelly has Zero Interest in maintaining things. I've had to pester people for the last 5 years to put up new Mini-Stats at the beginning of each year, and it's a royal pain in the keister. So enough is enough. I'm not going to use Fuelly anymore. Thanks, Fuelly. It was nice knowing you. |
which other sites do you use now with the same details and statistics?
|
None. I've had to resign myself to the fact that I'm no longer able to do what I was doing with Fuelly. I enjoyed the statistics and the graphing, but there are no other sites I'm aware of that do the same thing, and I'm not bothered enough by it to learn how to develop a site of my own.
I briefly considered buying Fuelly from Andy R. (I'm not joking), but the more I researched it, there doesn't seem to be much of a business model there to justify having to put up with the inevitable headaches that come with running an enterprise like this (which I have some low-level experience in). So if Andy Robinowitz can't be bothered to maintain his own site because he's too busy playing with RV's and tracking band song lists, then that's that. |
