Hi From West Yorkshire

I'm a guy almost 61 who finally got round to giving motorbiking a spin after a lifetime of enjoying the countryside cycling and walking (which i still do) and i never realised how much i would enjoy it as my only previous experience was holiday rental twist and go's. I found fuelly after searching for accurate mpg figures for my new cb125f, as the published 188mpg seemed insane. curiosity aside, it doesn't realistically yield anything near that, with the bike dashboard average mpg figure showing over 20mpg more than you get by a proper miles driven / fuel used calculation, but ridden sensibly still gives great figures for pennies a mile. I aint a fan of reckless speed so i take my time in no rush & just cruise the quiet lanes enjoying the scenery stress free, so if you see a grandad sat on a wall in the middle of nowhere somewhere in yorkshire/lancashire/derbyshire or cumbria with a flask of hot choccy and biscuit in hand staring out, stop by and say hello :)

Hello and welcome to the Fuelly forum. Some good roads in your neck of the woods, not dissimilar to those over the border here in Wales. Safe riding fella.

Welcome, Bob. I too got into motorcycling later in life (though not quite as late as you). Loved it. All the joys of cycling with none of the effort! I used to take a ride out into the country just for a smoke of my pipe. I remember one day a bike passed then shortly after, returned. He asked me if I was having problems but I told him I had just stopped "for a breath of fresh air".
The only way to get accurate mpg figures is calculated, as we do here.

That's a really good looking bike. Even figuring UK mpg that seems optimistic. I'd think 14x mpg would be doable easily enough. In any event, enjoy your ride. It's a nice one.
