New forum guidelines, FAQ
As much as I'm an advocate of free expression and free speech, we have a few areas that need improvement on this site.
As a result a new set of guidelines and rules have been posted in the FAQ section of the site. You can view them here: https://69.16.227.168/faq.php Violation of the rules can result in a number of actions, including suspension and banning. While I would like to not have to resort to these measures, they may become needed if problems persist. Bad apples are the by-product of a site growing in size. Hopefully strict guidelines will be a way to identify the bad apples instead of hurting the community. |
it's not necessarily a bad thing. i had a quick read of the FAQ (it's not long) and don't disagree with anything there.
this site has grown a fair amount. it's no longer a small "family", and if that means there's an occasional need to remind members to be civil where previously we might just roll our collective eyes and ignore something, so be it. hopefully others agree. |
I agree. I do not think things should be edited or deleted, but rather that things we find collectively as unacceptable are stated as such as a response and to let that stand for what it is.

I just added a filter that will convert most common forms of profanity to *'s. The older posts are not affected by this, but all new posts will be.
