New Product / Citizen Watch Company / 1mm thick solar powered watch movement
I don't get many TV stations, because my apartment is on the wrong side of the building. The rebar in the cement construction blocks all the radio/TV signals.
But I do get NHK World, the Japanese English language news channel. If you like hearing about new products, too, you may be find it interesting that Citizen Watch Company has engineered a solar powered watch movement which is 1mm thick. Within a watchcase it's whooping 2.98mm thick. The watchband and watchcase are indistinguishable. How much better can it get than THAT?! |
Doing a bit more research... This is the thinnest SOLAR powered watch. More interesting watch tech by other companies in this article:

That's interesting and quite an accomplishment. I'd go for this before it though.

Nice taste. That's a beautiful chronograph.
The pricing on those super thin Citizens begins at US$2,600 and tops at US$6,000. Ouch. |
