Anyone else practicing Intermittent Fasting?
Fuelly folks obviously enjoy the challenge of getting the most from the least. Do some of you carry that line of thinking over to your bodies, too?
Intermittent Fasting is like getting better MPG out of your body; better health, longer life with less fuel (food). |
No need. It's ok to eat whatever you want whenever you want, so long as you're active and enjoy things in moderation. I'm probably classed as underweight, yet I eat like a Horse several times a day. I just don't understand how or why people get fat, it's obviously a lifestyle choice.
One thing I recommend is NEVER skip breakfast, technically, you are fasting if you do this, leaving about 17-18 hours between dinner and lunch. Did you know you're 30 times less likely to have stroke, and 50 times less likely to have a heart attack if you have a healthy breakfast every day. |
Ha ha ha! I keep trying, but sadly i also have intermittent greediness more than cancelling it out...

I propose we vote on instituting an "MPG Handicap System". In Paul's case, under the rules, he should have to carry a 50kg sandbag in the boot of his car. This will level the playing field and put the sport back into it. |
My MPG's aren't that great Doug, others with the same car as me are getting 70-80 MPG, the 300 miles I did this weekend were with 3 people in the car, so that's fair? ;)

852 miles on a bicycle since May 7th this year. 380 in the last 30 days. Not bad for age 65. 6 feet tall, 117 pounds when I graduated high school in 1968, peaked at 220 a few years back. Blood pressure this am at 118/69 with a pulse rate of 62, 10 minutes after a 16 mile bike ride through my hilly neighborhood (1.5 hours). Eat pretty much what I want, need to get from 192 down to 185 in a month, lowest weight in 30 years.
Pop is 95. Mom turned 91 today. Pop's sister will hit 104 on Halloween, born the same year the Titanic sank. Good genes. |
