Pretty standard stuff. Notice the part about shutting the engine off and driving the speed limit. And the part about rapid acceleration would contradict the WOT hypothesis, but they present no data for this. :-D

i recall ford ran hands-on driving clinics last fall/early winter to teach owners of its escape hybrids how to take advantage of the hybrid system to improve mpg. i thought that was an admirable initiative.

but when i read sentences like this at the top of their driving tips page, it makes me want to throw free-range organic eggs at hummers (or expeditions/excursions.. whatever):

The thing about hard driving implies high rpms, WOT for fuel economy is always low rpms.
