Neat. I'm thinking of making a custom aluminum shift knob, having it anodized, then having it etched so the lettering is silver while the knob is colored.

How are you planning on
 
How are you planning on shaping it? I want to do one metal. I got an STD knob for free when I bought this one (the two knobs, energy suspension bushing and gel for 8 shipped), and I'm planning on chopping it up for a wooden knob later.
