Now, why do you suppose I took a photo of this guy's license plate? https://lh3.ggpht.com/_4xQFBZJE2fI/S_...0/DSC05528.JPGhttps://lh5.ggpht.com/_4xQFBZJE2fI/S_...2/DSC05526.JPG Because he did this when he cut me off. https://lh3.ggpht.com/_4xQFBZJE2fI/S_...2/DSC05524.JPG I wonder if I offended him? |
I guess having your camera ready & able at all times has come in handy. Did the guy stop?
|
No but they did take the last exit before the Bay Bridge.
|
Good thing you took a clear pic of the plate. The police will not have a problem finding the guy.

At least no one was hurt. If all you had was a little swapped paint, the deductible will probably be more than the cost to fix it. Go to Autozone, get one of those color-matched cans of paint, touch it up, have a glass of beer (or wine, or Wild Turkey, or what have you) and relax.
Could have been much worse. I was thinking today of a story my dad told me about the bridge crossing between Davenport, IA and Rock Island, IL that existed before WWII. The bridge was paved with wood planks, and led onto a street with a stop light. At rush hour, cars would back up well onto the bridge. On rainy days, the wood (soaked with the oil from the cars passing over the bridge) was EXTREMELY SLIPPERY. If cars were stopped at the light, and there was traffic on the bridge, it was common to have chain-reaction rear-endings on the bridge. He told me that there were many cars there that were a bit "shorter" than when they left the factory. |
I misread the title of this thread. I thought it was going to have these:

Since he cut you off, I am assuming it is on the front... Shoulda PIT maneuvered him... lol
|
Yeah, I would not mess with fixing it myself if I can file a police report and get his insurance to pay for repairs. If he had no insurance I would get an estimate for repairs and sue him.
|
Sorry to hear about that, but glad you got his plates...He pulled a hit and run, big no-no here in MN, not sure about your state though.
In all honesty, some cleaner polish and possibly light rubbing compound will remove all but the black part (where the paint and primer was ripped off your bumper). |
I would have, but I hate shooting out the driver window. The automatic ejects right in my face.
