Same in CT...nobody really exciting here. I just hope our new-fangled optical scan machines are working properly.

CT has the independent back from the dead though.

MO is an interesting race as well, crappy state that it is.

I did my part. Was the very last person to vote at my polling place.

I voted. Our voting place fianly moved into the modern era and got digital voting booths.

What kind of digital? If it's a Diebold then there's an even chance you can kiss your vote goodbye.

Did the booth have some kind of paper trail system where your votes were recorded onto a piece of paper that the voting place keeps? Without a paper audit trail, most digital voting systems are meaningless.

We have Ink-a-Vote in my district (no chads), and I trust that one to the extent that it has a paper trail in the event of a recount.

I don't know what type it was. It was a touch screen system.

I don't trust the system either, but the e-voting machines are the quintessential (digital) wolf in sheep's clothing. The public would "think" that they are getting an upgrade, something better. Technology is always better, right? But any CPA will tell you that you ALWAYS need an audit trail, and that means paper. E-voting is a scam unless it leaves a human-verifiable paper trail.
