After a little over a month of having the Honda Fit I'm getting 38.9mpg. Still getter better mpg very time I drive it. About to fill it up for the second time. Trying to hit 40mpg on this tank.

My limit on fuel economy tends to be about 31 mpg, which is 6 mpg above the average rating for my car. My goal is to break that ceiling. I ordered a scanguage in hopes of getting better feedback regarding which driving techniques improve mpg and adjust the habits that hurt mpg. Not quite ready for any mods but perhaps in the future after I master my driving technique.

The longest distance I've traveled with a single tank was 638.51 miles, but without reaching the highest mileage (49.39 MPG against 53 MPG).

NOT my personal best, but yesterday I finished my 2nd 90+ mpg tank - and finally I'm on the main page! I believed it's possible with Teresa :)

Just after rolling the odometer through the 40k km mark :)

made a trip from San Antonio to Austin and then back the next day. On the way to Austin I filled up at a highway exit in San Antonio and then filled up in Austin after immediately exiting. I got 37.25mpg with the new GDE Hot Tune ECU.

The whole trip of 149 miles with 120 being highway I got 33.22mpg in a 4x4 Jeep Libertry (Diesel).

New PB in the Mustang - 20,9mpg, beat my former 20,82mpg best!

I had cooler temps and more weight in the car, but the top was up which should have yielded slightly better aero, and I had the tyres up to 38psi from 35.

Not my personal best MPG, but recorded the most miles ever driven on a tank of gas yesterday! 410 miles whereas my previous best was 381. I filled up with 10.289 gallons in my 12.5gal tank, so I could've went further!

GasSavers_JoeBob 03-27-2010 01:01 PM

Best since gas was $4.50/g...

My last tank was 43.63 mpg. Driving was late at night, mostly on roads with little or no traffic, and I was holding my speed mostly between 45 and 55 mph. Travel was first between Lancaster, CA and Neenach, CA. Then from Lancaster to Lucerne Dry Lake and back home. Would have spent more time out on the dry lake, but the surface was softened by recent rains.

just got 44.34mpg

102 miles(this was sort of a test run, but it was probably 60% highway, alot of P&G and a lot of red lights(probably 30+), and 58-65mph cruising) on 2.3 gallons

so this is by no means as good as I can do but this is the best 2+ gallon fill i've had to date, yeaaaa,

its all about the rpms keeping it below 2000

BTW yesterday i switched over so a self made plastic piping system for my warm air intake...
