Most of us here know a lot more about fuel economy than most reporters. Perhaps the reporter saw higher city mileage than highway, got confused, assumed it was a mistake, and switched the numbers or something...

hey opelgt73. where in Indiana are u? i'm from Indiana as well,from the southern part, there are lots hills here. hardly any flat in this part

I'm in Indy right now. It only starts getting hilly 100 miles south of Indy, everywhere north all the way to Chicago is flat.
It's been a while since I have been to south western Indiana but south east Indiana starts getting hilly about 20 miles outside of Cincinnati.

thats my area, just across the river from Louisville,ky. never like 5 areas i know have thats flat here. i have to hypermiling continously on hills.(i live at the bottom of one lol) so needless to say hypermiling here is hard if not harder then most on this fourm
