Good Job Rick! Kind of surprising what you can do for FE when you set your mind to it !

The commute had "help" from wind today
a.m. - 48.4 -headwind 5-10mph
p.m. - 58.7 -tailwind "" ""
Filled up at 387.8 / 7.714 for 50.27 mpg ...close to a cowboy cd ...but just a bit short by 1.73 mpg ! Next tank maybe !

I had another day that was pretty normal for me. Temps were from 70-75F and the winds were 10-20 mph from a pretty much northernly direction. It shows in my segment numbers.
1) 68.5-5.8
2) 81.1-9.6
3) 72.5-9.9
4) 111-6.3
Average for today was 83.7 and the tank is at 82.8 after 53.0 miles.

Thats some fine driving numbers Larry ! You've taken to LaForge like a duck to water

Did my Jun/Jul fill today... It was a small volume, so I won't defend the accuracy beyond noting that I used the usual pump, car position & fill method (until I could see the level at the top of the neck).

267.5 miles (since the end of May) & just under 2.6 gal = 104 mpg (US). SG was reporting 105.

Personal goal met. Now back to a little less P&G in my driving mix...

Amazing ! ...and *so* nonchalent LOL . I love the " Did my Jun/Jul fill today" comment Ha !! sorry I amuse easily ...

That is darn good. Congratulations, unofficially of course ;) . Darn gas isn't that expensive, I would have just gone out and driven until I had the 312 miles to make it official.

Thanks. I thought about it, but I wanted it to be "real" driving only (ie. no driving around just to get good mileage - besides, in that case it would have been higher). Also, it takes a ginormous amount of patience to P&G to various places at a 20 mph average speed. I guess I ran out :)

And here's another issue that make makes the "fill" dubious: I chose today to gas up because I have a highway trip to do tomorrow which would have undone much of my P&G efforts and made 100+ impossible.

Great Work!

Great work Metro -- you cracked 100! But the best part is the little amount of fuel used in that span.

Very Very Good! Amazing!

A crazy low amount of miles + crazy mpg.

Great job, Metro. A guy that beats his previous best tank by 23+ MPG with only a groaty, ugly, used camshaft added is my kind of guy.

Stop downplaying yourself. I know how much work it is. You just beat me and I'm pretty OK.;)

This accomplishment deserves a special reward. A CD with 20 some of my favorites, 'Cowboy Songs of the Old West'. PM with address if you care to have it.
