I honestly think that America should be more Norway (I think it's Norway) that has hundreds of miniature power plants everywhere.

Each neighborhood has it's own power plant. It makes rolling blackouts a thing of the past.

Supposedly Norway has tons of HE. If only we were all lucky enough to have that kind of energy flow available...

One thing that would help solar, I think, is if it was easier to get your own home array permitted. I know that there are safety reasons, but I think they are overblown. Tough to get utilities interested in selling less electricity, I guess.

...and to think I missed it because I refuse to buy into media propaganda (TV ? What's that ?). Wind ,Hydro and Solar would be my choices iff'n I was King .

i would have no problem having a wind generator built on my property...thier not unsightly (even kidna interesting to watch) quiet, and they take up relatively small space(compared to other energy scources)(theres a big cluster of about 35-40 of these things about an hour away from me and seeing all of em move is really kinda cool)

just oil and coal companies want to line thier greedy pockets as usual...

Seeing them being transported to their chosen destinations is pretty interesting also ! I've seen the soutbound lane of I35 closed down in between 1:30 am and 4:30 am by the *monster* sized rigs that haul them - both lanes are fully taken up (the on/off ramps appear to be scary at best ) .

Hydro is a bad way to go though. It destroys the river systems that are harnessed. The Colorado river is a great example of a HE infrastructure completely devastating a region. The Colorado river doesn't even reach the sea for a large part of the year.

I tend to agree with you on that . Isn't the Colorado also one of the main sources for Southern Cali reservoir system ? What does eventually make it to the Gulf of Mexico gets used up in a big hurry .
