Thanks for the update, Yoshi. I will hold out until summer for mine.

The best thing about km/l and mpg is that it is a simple ratio to convert between the two :).
10km/l = 24 US mpg 20km/l = 48 US mpg Which means that you will very quickly get used to the different units, and, it will make no difference in the functionality of the device. So you don't necessarily have to hold off getting one until the MPG ones come out :) |

I'm just holding out until summer because that is when I'll be able to afford it ;) I'm not scared of any conversions. I work with computers all day, lol.

And... my SuperMID got installed today and works fine :) It was a bit of a mission due to my car's strange injector setup (pulse width modulation), but Yoshi designed a mini interface box which sorted the problem perfectly!.
I'm now in the calibration phase, which should be completed tomorrow (I have a long drive tomorrow). Looking forward to an increase in MPG :) |
Hi landspeed and all,
It was a little tough mission to interface the pulse width modulation injector signal for his low-impedance injectors. https://www.acceleronics.com/faq.htm#2 The SuperMID is designed for a standard high-impedance injectors which drive pulse is simple single pulse. We had two approaches to filter his injector pulses... A: analog CR (capacitor and resistor) filter B: digital microprocessor controlled filter He tried the approach-A, but no good result. I tried the approach-B and it worked. Please refer to attached chart. The top green signal is the original output from ECU. The middle red signal is after voltage shift(12V->5V) for filter input. The microprocessor watches the pulse state change and counts 0.8 msec timer. If the pulse state did not change in 0.8 msec, the pulse is good, then output change to meet the input. If the pulse state changed but it was shorter than 0.8 msec, the pulse is ignored. (The actual microprocessor has jumper setting to change the ignore period, 0.2 to 0.8 msec.) So, the SuperMID M-1 is now working with such low-impedance injectors. Regards, Yoshi https://priusdiy.fc2web.com/image/Osc3.jpg |
