It is neat that you got the reflection of the electronic marquee on your hood in the photo.

It will help you prove exactly where you were on the road immediately after it happened (unless SF has hundreds of those electronic signs).

I concur. Being that that car has out of state plates, it may be that it might be more costly and time consuming to go after him than to let it go, polish out what you can, and touch up the rest. Also, if that's on your front bumper, he could just as easily say you rear-ended him. You and I both know that that ain't so, but an insurance company, cop or judge might not agree, unless you can prove it.
