Same on my similar truck. For a while I was being increasingly gentle with the go-pedal, and then one day when I was frustrated and impatient my fuel economy went up...and that reminded me of how I have to drive that vehicle.

Welcome to the site! These folks know what they are doing and will be big help to you. You might consider getting a Scanguage. It has helped tremendously using it on my full size P/U.

Thanks for the tips everyone. I would buy a scan gauge II but I don't have the money for one right now so I will just use the gas log to see my averages.

Trust me, ScanGuage will only distract you right now. I often fumble with mine endlessly and sometimes do not watch the traffic enough! :thumbup:

I was scared just looking off the road to turn on the windshield defogger. So I probably shouldn't buy a ScanGuage.
