OK, so I see your point Hold Cow. Scott, it was the same with me, I took off my tailgate and got better gas mileage. I think I will try the bed cover before anything and radicalize from there. Thanks for all the advice!

the problem is those mods get expensive. that is unless you can make the parts yourself. usually the sloped camper shells are pretty pricey. they look good though

I wanted one of those camper shells, but the guy designing them was still in the prototype stage, and was putting it aside because of financial difficulty. We never heard from him after that.
