 I know that it works with a "tone ring"-style sensor at each wheel and that matching tires shouldn't cause a problem even if they're a different size than original, but plenty of people report problems after putting on 4 new tires of a different size than original.
The only explanation I've ever been able to think of is that with large changes you're changing the whole scale on which it all works, so the system sees data in the wrong range and throws a code.
Like I said, practically speaking about the sizes in question here, that won't be an issue.
