The quarters are filled in the low spots

All the low areas were worked as much as possible and filled. The next step to really straighten the car out is spray poly, kind of a light spray filler that goes over the entire car.
Taping

Tonight we reassembled the car to be moved back to my house where it will be blocked for painting. There have been plenty of learning moments. The rear brake lines are in fairly poor condition and one of the bleeder valves broke off in the wheel cylinder. The rear will be getting new hard lines and cylinders, but we were able to torch out the old valve. The car will be limping home sometime this next week.

Tom.... if you're up for it I could use a hand with blocking out the car. We'll set it up so Jack the body man is around for instruction. Let me know when you'll be around (week ends).

I've been contemplating what to do about the ripped driver's seat. After lots of time searching on CL for a decent interior, I've found a full set of 99-00 civic si seating. The rear seat base fits in the car with a little modification, but the seat back will have to be swapped to the vx's rear pan with some modification. Here's the fronts.

No changes since the car was spray poly'd. I hope to get to blocking the car in the next few weeks.

When I went to pick up the interior, the guy had a beaten up yamaha pw50 laying in his back yard. I inquired if it was for sale. He said to just take it if I wanted it. His pitbull had chewed off the seat cover and made some exterior bite marks on the tires, but otherwise the bike was complete. I'll post up a picture or two when I've completed fixing it. Here are the wheels resprayed in silver and the seat recovered.

Nice score on both accounts!

The weekend after this one would work for me to comeo out and help block the car. Let me know if that works for you and your body guy.

TomO, PM sent.

Updade.

The rear seatback from the 99-00 civic si is not a direct swap, so it's going over to the upholstery shop to be re-cut and mounted on the stock 50/50 seat frame. The rear lower seating will drop in with a couple cuts in the metal.

I've test fitted the 99-00 si front seats and found that the inner rear bolt does not line up with the stock hole. I'll either be making some brackets or drilling and welding new seat nuts to remedy this. I should be done by this weekend.

Pictures of blocking, new front control arms, POR15 treatment, and installed seating will be coming over the next week or so.

No post is complete without a picture, so here's the finished PW50

Also got a carbon fiber Kenstyle grille for the Odyssey.

Here's some evidence of work being done.

Not much left to do before paint now. I'll keep y'all posted.

With the fall weather change the car has gone under wraps. I ended up replacing all the front end parts, upper and lower control arms and tie rod ends, but no visible changes yet.

I've decided to apply POR15 to the inner seam and on parts of the lower body that frequently get wet and salty. When the weather gets above 40 degrees on a regular basis I'll be resuming work.

It will be completed by April.
