Pre thoughts to my experament

Well for the past 2 weeks i decided to cram my factory air intake back on to see if my supposed CAI (more like mix of everything intake) actually helps mpg.

so far it seems it has, the factory box goes thru a tangled mess of a air intake that only gets its air from the grille. the CAI is just 1 S bend of 3" steel pipe right to a K&N filter thats near the original air box intake (so near the opening to the grille but back a ways and free to suck air from anywhere) the exhaust manifold is about a foot and a half diagnolly away from it.

with it before i used to be able to go about 110-120 miles before the needle moved and touched the full line, now its got 90 and below the full line. ill run it down to half a tank and see what it is then, with the CAI i could get about 300 miles to half a tank with the stock i got about 260-270 to half a tank.

we shall see!
