Propane, eh? A fuel that's already a gas i.e. as vapourised as you can expect to get! Do engines run *that* much better on propane than they do on gasoline? Is an engine running on 'vapourised' gasoline going to run better than on propane?
I recently came across an article that spoke of fuel delivery systems in early engines- I'm talking 1800's. This wick/box thing was one of them. Yeah-that'll advance the state of the art.
Google gas engine wick carburetor- there's tons of stuff on it.
