Engine Modification

Anybody modified the engine, and does it pass smog check, by adding;

1. Hydrogen Generator.
2. LPG or CNG conversion.

I googled "c.a.r.b. certified CNG conversion", and came up with several companies who do such conversions...some even in the Bay Area...with the amount you drive, it might at least be worth looking into...

Please stay away from a Hydrogen Generator since we have already proven that it converts power from the alternator (through the battery) to give you the temporary gas increase.

done right, LPG or CNG will burn 50x cleaner and will absolutely pass a sniffer smog check. a quick check on google didn't yield any exact results but several indirectly said that CARB will allow LPG and CNG conversions assuming it's done by a certified shop, gets better than original emissions (by sniffer maybe?) and retains full OBDII controls.
