Just calculated my first tank on the SL2. 36.8 mpg. I know I can do better than that on the next one. The only thing I did was a little drafting of semi's when available. Maybe 100 miles total. Plus my wife drove the car a little around town because she likes sticks and then she taught her 16 yo sister how to drive a stick on it. I'm sure they wasted a bit of gas doing that. This next tank will be all me driving with some engine off coasting on some stretches of road. Here is the brakdown of my daily commute. 17.3 miles total, 4.2 city driving, 10.8 interstate, 2.3 highway.

Re: Which Saturn SL for the best MPG's

im sure your mpg will pick up the next few tanks. my cars never get used to my driving style until a few tanks later. i usually pick up a few mpg just learning to drive the car right over the course of a few weeks. once i get a solid baseline then i start thinking about mods. check out my gas log and youll see.

Getting 38-39mpg on the last few tanks. Have not made any mods yet. Maybe soon.
