Where to find new car US diesel release information?

Is there any site online with realistic release introduction dates for diesel car models in the United States? I know Honda, BMW, Mercedes, and Volvo (among many others) have talked about releasing previously european market-only diesels in the US, but I haven't been able to track down reliable dates. I would love it if there was one site that listed them all.

Everywhere I look it seems to be rumors and "expected in six months" or "sometime in 2009" and when the dates in these rumors roll around to the present, they're often reset as "six months from NOW" but I'm tired of waiting.

Is there any go-to spot to figure out when my favorite new gas car model might be available in diesel engine format in America?

You might keep track of Autoblog Green reports.

http://www.autobloggreen.com/

VW 50-state legal Diesels have been available (but hard to find) since Aug. 15, 2008. Mercedes also (check their web site, maybe not in CARB states). BMW maybe in October. No official word on the others that I have heard.

Yeah, this all started basically with me following autobloggreen. I remember the new VW Tiguan was announced on car blogs a year or so ago, and they hinted at rumors of the clean TDI being included with the release date of the car. Then it turned into maybe six months later a TDI would come out, then I heard it would be in 2009, but when the Tiguan was finally released, they changed it to no specific date slash never for the TDI version.

For Canadian consumers seeking some diesel info, you may also want to check the new www.tdicurious.com we've just launched.
