What mods/fixes are you planning?

Anyone care to share what are in the future plans for your vehicle(s)? Just list anything - common repairs and/or modifications.

I'm mostly posting so I can make a list for myself

- Tune up/fluids change/lube
- Brakes (all four wheels)
- Onboard diagnostic system (building it this weekend)
- Body work/rust removal
- Exhaust replacement
- Engine rebuild (maybe next year)
- Grill blocking/air deflectors
- Debating with myself about wheel skirts, but I do have some drawn up
- RWED (Rear-Wheel-Electric-Drive)...need to find an old Chevette/Acadian to experiment on
- Turbo (low boost - mostly to run a generator)
- Lightweight rims
- Smaller and/or lightweight gas tank

I'm certain that I'll think of more stuff as I go.

We've been trying to figure out the effect of free-flow exhaust vs. a more restrictive one. I think your car may be a good experiment since it has a straight pipe. If you do the exhaust on a separate tank, could you report the results on economy? I'm curious. Thanks!

No problem...that's been my

No problem...that's been my plan all along actually. There may be some temperature variance involved, but I will fill up just before I do the exhaust and see what kind of difference I find after.

Sorry that my gaslog on this site is not complete at all - I've just been too lazy to repost all the data here. I have a pdf version on my car's website:

http://www3.telus.net/metro/log/jan2106.htm

We should be able to extrapolate the straight-pipe vs. exhaust figures pretty easily.

I have to save up for the exhaust since I want a brand new OEM replacement. Should be able to do it in July or August I think.

What is currently on is the original 11-year-old cat, solid pipe, and a rusted out resonator tip. Ugly as hell and buzzes like mad.

I'm going to replace the entire system with an OEM Walker replacement exhaust - cat, resonator, muffler.

OEM Since we're all

OEM

Since we're all wondering about exhaust mods OEM is kinda boring.
