Seriously though, I may be contacting you and asking for some vehicle measurements and such one of these days. I have this crazy idea about transplanting the RWD from a Chevette into the Metro for low-speed EV power.

On a different note I built an OBD1 to computer interface cable on the weekend. Still have to test it to make certain I don't fry anything though.

DX to CX tranny swap.

DX to CX tranny swap. Hopefully I can get SVOboy to stop by soon and help me install it. Actually, I would be handing him wrenches and lemonade while he installs it.

After the Tour De Sol, my

After the Tour De Sol, my wife informed me that I have already spent enough time gallivanting around the country for awhile. I would have to get permission from her to drive clear across tarnation to NJ. And then, if something went wrong and I needed to wait a few days to get a critical part, well I would be in a world of hurt.

Looks like you coming here would be easier. But we will just have to see about that. It seems like not a day goes by when I try to shift from third to fifth, but I am bummed when I figure out that I am already in fifth.

Manual trannyu fluid

Manual trannyu fluid shouldn't be hard. Just get a good long funnel. I did my friend's auto with you car and all I needed to complete the easiness was a big *** funnel (2 foot long or so).

I just used a regular funnel with 3/8" fuel hose attached to the end. Luckily I used 0W-20 because it took 1/2 hr to get the 2 quarts in. It might take hours for 30W.
