VX rims Got em and weighed em

Well as you can see my VX rims came. They came mounted with 185's and weighed 20 pounds each. The steelies that I took off had 175's and wieghed 26 pounds each.

So I cut 24 pounds out of my wheels and now all of my wheels match and look 1000% better. If I ever get near it with the camera I will update pics.

I wonder how much heavier the new tires are though, hmm, I should weigh my rim/tires.

I have no idea. I wanted to know but there was no way I was bustin a tire off the rim just to weigh it and put it back on in that heat!

The crazy part is if I was to pick each one up I would have guessed the difference to be much more. Funny how your brain plays those tricks on you.

Nice!

I looked around for those wheels for a while before picking up my miata rims. I couldn't find any VX or HX wheels for under $300 with tires. There must be some sort of crazy market for them around here.

Have you noticed a difference in the way they drive?

Post up some pics when you get them!

Havent noticed a difference yet. I just got them up to the "right" air pressure today. So that is to be seen.

I will post up some pic when I get off my *** and take em.

Just had the tires removed from my VX rims and weighed them (the rims). I put all 4 on my digital scal and get 37.6 lbs, or 9.4 lbs each.

Re: VX rims Got em and weighed em

VX are the lightest, regarding the rims, I would put the Sumitomo tires on them, this is the best tire for that rim.
