Okay everyone, I just got off of the phone with Jeff, from Jeff's Geo Metros. To start with, I must say that the guy was quite a taker, dominating the majority of conversation; but I was able to ask the questions that were most important to me. They were as followed:

-"What kind of a warranty do you have with regards to parts, labor, mileage or defect".
This part kind of bothered me, due to the fact that he did not specify a written warranty; but instead stated that if something small were to go wrong, that it would be best to have the issue fixed locally. If however, there were a major issue, the purchaser should ship the complete engine, or cylinder head back, and the work would be done at no additional charge. There was no mention of reimbursements for the shipping fees; but he did seem to imply that one would eventually be stated on his website. I however wanted a definitive answer.

-Is there a core charge for engines & transmission.
The answer was "yes". $350.00 for transmission. As for engines, I was able to determine this from him. He said that all prices were listed on his website, yet it's not an easy website to navigate.

- Do you provide any testing results for your claims?
He again answered yes, stating that the all his results could be found on his website. He claims that what he builds is performance engine that will provide greater efficiency, while providing 5MPG more per gallon that a factory manufactured base model Geo Metro. Once again, I was not able to navigate through his website to substantiate these results. And finally:

-What's the name of your shop:
I'm sure that it seemed like a redundant question; however the reason I asked was because, I could not find a record of him that was either good or bad on the BBB website in his area. I'm still searching, and hopefully, my efforts will produce results.

In summary, my goal was to get definitive answers to the questions that I'd asked. What I was hoping to hear was: yes there is a written warranty that's hassle free they will firmly stand behind, yes they do have test results that can substantiate their claims, & finally, and A+ listing with the BBB..

In closing, had I gotten all of the answer that I'd asked with a definitive "yes", I would have jumped at the opportunity to do business with him. On a personal note, I am not quite ready to do business with him as of yet, or write this man off, due to the fact I have not gotten all of the facts. I would hate to potentially disparage the reputation of a good man. At the moment, I'm still trying to find a record of his through the Better Business Bureau in his area.
