yea my truck does the same thing, its kidna how you tell if the clutch is slipping while letting it stall out while in gear and the pedal floored. i must say it does take an extra oomph to stop the truck.

the brakes may be able to stop and lock up if applied hard enough but when i do this its way harder than i expect so it might catch you off guard and be too late because you werent pressing hard enough.

most modern velchle has some type of revlimiter that shuts off fuel when you hit it too long.
