Temps are rising here

Sunday I drove to Richmond and back, about 110 miles. Averaged 61.1 MPG going the 65 MPh speed limit or slightly less.

Today I filled the tank, 9.1 gallons, 551 miles. From the gas station back to my house, on my favorite back road, I hit 94.6 MPG at one point (45 MPH speed limit, no lights, slight hills). Averaged 77.5 MPG for the 14 mile return trip. It helps a lot to not have to start off with a cold engine. Never went faster than 50 MPH.

2002 Insight CVT, 38 k miles, maybe this summer I can average over 70 on my local routes.

regards
gary
