Take the bus if you want to save on gas

I just found out that you can ride with Megabus with fares as little as $1. There routes have chicago as the cetral hub, but I hear they are expanding. You can check out there website here: http://megabus.com/us/. I am just amazed by the $1 fares!

pff.... its more expensive for me (assuming a car was given to you to take the bus than drive if I decided to travel less than 30 km (18 miles?) on my given commute. That's how much our bus tickets prices have skyrocketed these past few years. Their excuse was... price of fuel! And boy I wonder when are we going to get those hybrid busses... when those things start out in first gear the black smoke makes me want to puke.
