Correct, measures in liters down to the thousandth of a liter. But you also get Start and Lap. If you are set to start, it automatically resets every time you remove power from the MID. So since I draw power from the accessory circuit, I can ignition off and back on without resetting the Start trip. But when I turn off completely, the next time I restart, the MID will start from zero. I use start mode exclusively and just check the tank stats occasionally. There is also lap trips, but I haven't figured out what that would be used for.

Lap trips? Could you set a specific distance interval and then the MID would reset once that interval is passed? As long as it stored the previous data it would be quite useful for tests...if distance is working of course.

I would see if you can convert to an electronic VSS like I did.

Matt: the cable speedo doesn't convert the electronic symbol in the same way, which would explain why it would work but the ecu would still throw a vss code until I put the electronic vss in.

95metro, good luck with whatev you end up doing, I love my MID, but mehbe that's just me.

This would make sense except for the fact that everyone who has done an obd1 swaps on their civics and doesn't have a VSS code.

Hello from Japan,

The Lap (or say "segment") function is designed for following example.
It has 20 Lap(segement) data memory. So, you can divide up to 20 segments on your commute route. Use ENTER key to update the segment data.
For example, the 1st segment ends at a signal stop, then press the ENTER key. It stores the data on the 1st segemnt memory. You come to the 2nd segment end at a bottom of a hill, then press ENTER. Come to a top of a hill, then press ENTER, and so on.
Do you think this function is useful?

Any questions are welcome.
Regards,
Yoshi

Hi Yoshi, yes I think the Lap function could be very useful - especially if the data can be uploaded to a computer. Is that possible?

Still can't find the injector size for the Metro. The Hayne's manual was next to useless for once.

No. The current SuperMID M-1 does not have any computer interface.
You can find the schematic at...

Please use a pencil and a paper now or wait for a few years about the M-2 and some extra fee.

Is there any way to translate that link? It's a bunch of non-sensical characters on my screen.

I can't believe there's practically nothing out there for mpg meters (I've been looking for days). I guess most people just don't care.

There hasn't been. The higher crude oil goes wrt the average wage, the more market there will be for such devices.
