Suburban Boston reporter seeks hypermilers

I'm a reporter with two suburban Boston newspapers, the MetroWest Daily News and the Milford Daily News, looking for local hypermilers or anyone who is doing something different with their car's hardware or their driving style to maximize their fuel efficiency. It's part of a series we're writing called "Life at $4 per gallon."

Anyone interested in a brief interview, please call me at 508-634-7546 or e-mail me at awasserm@cnc.com. Thanks in advance for your time and help.

Sincerely,
Aaron Wasserman

Is it going to be the usual "witch hunt"-style article, where hypermiling is sensationalized, or is it going to promote hypermiling? It seems that "hypermiler" has become a dirty word.

What ever you say can and will be used against you in a court of law.

No thanks! You guys have a way of making anything that is not "mainstream" look as though it is bad. Why don't you and all of the other reporter friends start calling out our government for their bad policies that have led us to this life after $4 gas. Until then I hope that no one agrees to assist you with your one sided story. Focus on what caused this problem not what we are attempting to do to survive it. I think that you have some cheerleading to get back to now. Now I bid you a good day sir. You can carry on.
