I didn't use the car this week, so no update for the Blackfly.

Team Slow Burn: get your gas log reports in if you haven't already - or email/post your SG/MID current estimates.

I am out for now, the motor in my moms mini van blew up, so I am letting her drive the sable. Don't know for sure when I will get it back, it might be weeks?
So you will have to find a new team player

It might not be so bad...

Since you've filled with at least 3 gallons this round, you can retire the car for the Cycle and go with the average you have up to now...

But for the next round...

How long is the car to be out? Since someone else is the Daily Driver for an extended period, a new 3.00 to ~5.00 gallon baseline for Cycle 2 has to be established within 42 days; otherwise, there would be a 5% penalty for a missing member if it's longer than that.

BTW, what kind of Van and how many miles? That's harsh...

Update

I did not fill this week. I will top off at the end of this week for the end of the cycle. Estimate to be the lower 40's.

LOTS of freeway travel this weekend. Not sure how that will affect the mileage.

I chickened out and filled at 1064 miles. My SG must have been way off. I put 16.014 gallons in for the 1064 miles or 66.44 tank. I drove about 80 miles with the low fuel light on. The most I have ever put in before was 16.33. I just couldn't drive any more like that.

I saw a guy at the Larz Anderson Alt Wheels Festival a few years ago with a VW Wagon that was getting 1600 miles per tank on BioDiesel - boggles the mind.

Sorry 1300 mile range . . .
