I always average 51-53 MPG for this trip. This is a run I make 4 times a week sometimes . I have SG pics but they seem to antagonize some here. Brock, your 83 mpg post is great. You've got something working there.

MetroMPG gaslog 2005/2007:

jwxr7: Do not let anyone discourage you. You are doing exceptionally well. As you can see from the above gaslog, MetroMPG was stuck in the low 50 MPG range till about this same time last year.

I will bet that when jwxr7 reaches 80 MPG we will see no 20 MPG dive. You have proven yourself to be a valuable asset to Team GasMisers5.

Is that avg speed an SG reading? If so, those are Honda Insight numbers!

For me to be able to approach 100 mpg (US), my average speed can't exceed about 30 mph.

Yes, thats sort of what I was getting at. If I cruise at 40 mph on a warm engine I can get about 100 mpg, 45 mph is 90 mpg and 50 mph is about 80 mpg. Amazing at 50 mph to get almost 100 mpg.

My speed adverage about 30 according to SG for my 83mpg week.

I hear you Brock - I averaged 27 mph (SG indicated) on my last fill (84 mpg). I bet your car is easier to drive when achieving those results too. No engine-off stuff, right?

Another 'tank' of P&G: 209.4 miles travelled, 3.228 gallons used = 64.86 MPG(US). I put 'tank' in quotation marks because even with $4 a gallon gas it still only cost $12.90 to fill
