I have a '95 Miata and put in some platinum (Bosch ?) and milage dropped. Went back to specified NKGs and milage came back. Driven sensibly, I get 32 hwy and with sprited, boy-racer runs throught the TX hill country and almost no 5th gear usage, it still stays about 27mpg.

I usually swap in the Bosch Platinum +4 plugs when it's time for new ones. Haven't noticed any MPG change, but the van does feel like it has more umph when I need to drop the hammer down.

I think it depends on the car and what is OEM for it. NGKs work best for Hondas.
