Sick Geo Metro XFI

At present, I'm looking at a 93 Geo Metro Xfi, which has a valve that's not seating properly and appears to need a replacement cylinder head, or one that would need to be machined. According to the sellers mechanic, the engine was compression tested, with cylinder 3 only pushing 30lbs.

My question to everyone, is what would be the approximate labor charge to either replace the cylinder head or have it machined.

Thank you.

I'd guess machining, parts and labor (I assume they are going to pull the head and install it) would be $400-$800 (depending on how good and honest the shop is). Replacing the head with a professionally reworked head from a junkyard would likely add $200-$300 to the above.
