Scangauge II
I just bought a new Scangauge, since I gave the old one away after I got rid of my OBDII car. The new one has a lot of options not on the old one, such as:
More trip options
Horsepower reading
Transmission fluid temp reading (certain vehicles only; programmed as an X-gauge)
A lot more settings to adjust accuracy
Just FYI

What are the trip options?
I've had mine since maybe 2008 and it does HP and ATF temp using XGauges.

Oh. I didn't know the '08 could do ATF and HP gauges. The new one does the HP gauge out of the box. I looked through the trip options, and it seems to be the same as before. I know the menus are different; there are a lot more setup options; presumably so it works in vehicles that did not agree with the SGII before (such as some Subarus and Ford Rangers).

Getting the firmware upgrade should give an old one all the new goodies.

I also noticed that my new one will record performance runs. My old one didn't (never got any updates, though)

I never got the HP reading on my Two, had sent it back for an upgrade once a few years ago and I loan out my One to friends to scan their cars.

I have a idea. We all would like to get better MPG don't we? I think it would be great if one of us would go and spend a couple of days with the people in Seattle that are making the Wikispeed cars. There must be ideas that can be used in all our cars. I will be up there in june cant get there before than any takers????

great idea? for MPG?
Can one of us get up to WIKISPEED and talk to them and see if they could share ideas on how they can get over 100MPG f and 5sec 0 to 60 for there cars? I know I cannot do one of there trial cars because I need to have a car that can be in rainy weather because I am a full time RV er . There must be ideas that can be put into practical use on other cars.
