scan guage II problems black digits

ok i have a scan guage 2

on occasion the M and the G in the mpg goes all black along the M in the mph

ive noticed it when the horn is pressed (new car still fumbling around in it)

Ive also noticed if i get a call.

Its not all the time only on occasion i have yet to make it do it on comand

any thoughts?

Sorry, I have had no problems with the SGII that I use on my Dodge Ram. I have had it for only about two months though.
