protium gas optimizer?

I was just looking for a good deal on a scan gauge II on ebay, and I found this bundle auction :http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Proti...spagenameZWDVW
I searched on the forum and google, but didn't see any real reviews about it.

could it actually do something other than damage your car's system?

I guess if it does anything at all it would be on here already.

but the fact that they sell it with scan gauge is really dumb if it doesn't work because you would be able to actually see the results.

thanks

ok, I thought as much.

I guess they figure that with the SG people will see their stats and adjust accordingly and think their product is saving the gas

I did this google :

"Protium Fuel Systems"

And found this :

Protium Gasoline Optimizer
http://www.protiumfuelsystems.com/optimizer.html
Quote:
Increase Your Gasoline Mileage From 10 to 85 percent in less than 30 minutes!

$59.95

This device really works and we can prove it. We give you full control of the air/fuel mixture of your vehicle's engine, allowing you to increase your fuel economy with the turn of a knob! It's that simple! No Hocus Pocus!
If it's messing with the A/F mixture, then I think it's an EFIE (same as eagle-research and others that are out there). It looks a fancier EFIE, because it offers human-controlled City/Highway configurations. If I had seen this one earlier *and* had enough independent information on it, then I would have gotten it. $60 is what I paid for a no-knob eagle-research version, so I got less for my money. I guess I just like knobs . Now, if one of the dials went to 11, then I would have been willing to pay $70 !!!!!

The site also offers another "coming soon" hydrogen generator solution :

I just googled the creators name :

"R. Steven Burnett"

I got these hits :

They are very Ra-Ra pro-Burnett. The problem is, we don't know if they are manufactured conversations (create multiple users and have them all say nice things about the product). They just aren't reliable sources.

I'm curious as to how it hooks up. If it alters the MAP sensor signal it will fool the SG into thinking that FE has increased. It may almost be worth it to get one for my son's car(my old '99 Saturn) and return it if it doesn't actually work.

Thanks for pointing that out. I hadn't thought of that. If it did that, it would be a step above the EFIE. The $60 is only a little above my sucker limit. Maybe I'll google to see if I can find some more e-pinions of this gizmo.
