Looking at this b7 and b8 it looks like the b8 is just missing the extra crap. The spaces are there for everything, it's just not there. Uses the same valves, wouldn't be surprised if the rest of the junk were the same.

Hell give it a shot. I just think for some reason that the lobe on the 8V cam will fall in the center of the two rockers for the 16V head...I could be way off my rocker though. (HAR HAR)

I posted up on h-t, should I take a close up of the stuff? I haven't removed the cam on the 8 valve head yet though.

I put the one cam on top of the 8 valve head and the lobes line up, I guess I should see if they also line up on the d15b2.

That would be cool if you could just swap the cam. But then you would have only 8 of the 16 valves operational. Seems to me I mentioned doing something like that by removing 1/2 of the rocker arms. I got no love for that idea.

Yeah I'm not too sure. What are the valve locations like in the combustion chamber on the 8V head? If it's a different location than if you were running only 8 of the 16 valves on the 16V head, you may not get a good mixture inside the combustion chamber. Valve placement is a very well researched thing.

Look at the old valve placement. You can get the pictures bigger if you click on them:
PS: The valve themselves are identical.
